Not only Canada has wonderful sailors, right?  And not all sailors speak English, right?

So here, for all you International Browsers, are international links.  We have divided them into countries, so click on the first letter of the country name of your choice, and...  sail away...

Australia
Inside Multihulls Info-Site

This is an Australian magazine's webpage.  It contains interesting stories, up-to-date news (Australian), and a list of events.  Quite interesting, although more so for people living in Australia, I bet.

Mirage Yachts

This is the Mirage Yachts' website situated in Queensland, Australia. Very informative, nicely designed, beautiful boats. They tell you a lot about how they build their sailboats, and what's available.  Interesting site not only for Australians.

Van de Stadt Design Australia

Greatly arranged webpage with lots of information on the boats they design (and not only).  Very useful site, especially if you are thinking about buying a new boat.

Virtual Sailor

This is a site containing mainly information about regattas (in Australia) and news from the sailing world.  It is nice graphically, and for those who like games, there is an online sailing game (I have not tried it, so I can't say if it's good or not) - could be fun if you can't do the real thing!

Austria
Sail'n Fun- The Crew- and Yacht-List

It's a beautifully designed site - one of those that's interesting AND pretty.   People who are looking for crew members, or people who would like to crew, can place their offers. Additionally they can use a lot of search-facilities to search our database. Sail'n Fun is working world-wide. Definitely worth repeated visiting.

Belgium
Nautical Information Online

This is a site running from Oostende, and it's an informational site.  I'm not claiming that I know what's written there (although there are parts written in English), but from looking at pictures I'm assuming that it is a similar website to ours.  Very nicely designed, and rich in information.

Denmark
Kongelig Dansk Yachtklub

I don't speak a word in this language, but it sure is a beautifully designed home page of the Royal Danish Yacht Club.

EGÅ SEJLKLUB

This is a website of another Yacht Club from Denmark, much less beautifully designed than the previous one, but still might be useful for the interested.

Holland

Cruising and Sailing the Seas

The site is written by sailors for sailors.  Read about cruising destinations, harbours and anchorages around the world.  Virtually step on board and sail with us through Europe. You can also share your experiences with others by 'publishing' them on this site.

Hong Kong

Cruiser Owners Association of Hong Kong

This association does not have a website so far, but for those interested, here's contact information:

Italy
La Pagina della VELA di Angelo Mascaro

It's a very rich site, with all kinds of information - from info about the authors to info about different classes, weather, and so on.  It is a bilingual page, so you can read it in Italian and in English.  Very interesting, and pleasant to the eye.

Mexico
Bienvenido a Laser de México

A Laser site from Mexico. Very nicely designed site with information pertaining largely to regattas. There are a few links to other pages (not only Mexican), and a weather report.

The Netherlands
Van de Stadt Design - Head Office

This is a website of yacht designers for individual and professional yacht builders.  They have offices around the world, and a large amount of various boat designs.  The website is beautifully maintained, and it's very worthwhile.

The Sailing Index
TEMPORARILY DOES NOT WORK

It's one of the better known sites on the Internet.  It has got a HUGE amount of links to cruising, racing, weather, educational, commercial and new sailing sites.  While very simple in design, it is a valuable place on the Web.

HISWA Export Group

This is an official page of the group consisting of Dutch boat builders, marine equipment manufacturers, architects and brokers.  The page contains links to the group members and the list of events the group organizes.  It's also pleasant for the eye.

Poland
Historia Festiwalu Piosenki Zeglarskiej "Shanties"

It is a page describing the whole history of the shanties festival taking place each year in Cracow, Poland.   It's entirely in Polish.

Zawisza Czarny

This is a Polish-Canadian Yacht Club's website.  The club is situated in Grimsby, Ontario (between Hamilton and St. Catherines on Lake Ontario), and there is ALWAYS something happening.  New members are welcome.  The site contains a number of pictures of the many activities the club is involved in, as well as some useful links and information about the club's activity.  Yes, I (Ina) am a member, if this is your next question. :)

Spotkanie Internetowych Zeglarzy - SIZ

It is a very nicely produced site that has an interesting story to it.  A few people in Poland decided to meet other people that they already "met" over the Internet, this time in real life, in a beautiful area in Poland called Mazury.  They took their boats, and apparently had a blast while together.   They're doing it again this year!  An interesting site especially for people from Mazury, because you can have a look at very nice pictures.

Magazyn Morski

I find this site a little messy, but the information contained there is quite valuable.   You'll find there history, news, correspondence and so on.  As the name of the webpage suggests (it's a "Magazine of the Sea" or "Sea Magazine") all of the subjects mentioned are concerned with the sea, and sea sailing.

Russia
www.sail.ru

A very comprehensive site for Russian speaking sailors.  Contains chat boards, news, and very nice pictures.

allsail.jpg (2761 bytes)

This is a site with many good links, including producents and manufacturers of sailing products, racing info, organizations, clubs, and so on.  You can read it in both English and Russian if your browser supports the lettering.

Scotland
West Coast Boating

This is a guide to boating on Scotland's west coast, lochs and canals.  Very comprehensive and well designed.  It contains interesting list of links and pictures, as well!

Spain

Boats & Boats CD-ROM

Nautical CD-ROM - contains well over 1000 of the best boats from '70s to '90s.  The website is based in Spain, very nicely designed, with screen shots from the CD-ROM.  Certainly a good tool when you're looking for a new sail- or motorboat.

Thailand

Sailing in Paradise - Yachtpro International

Sailing in Paradise is an absolutely accurate statement.  Just visit their website and look for photos...  To make things even more beautiful, they offer a full set of courses necessary for you to become a sailor you want to be.  Certificates they issue are valid all over the world, and you can acquire them within days, during your vacation in Thailand.  Certainly if you want only a quiet vacation with a skipper on-board, they will do that too.

United Kingdom
British Offshore Sailing School

A beautifully designed site, but more importantly, it provides a vast amount of information about the school's activities, courses and examinations - together with prices (I do not know whether these are good or not-too-good prices).  From what they say there, they can really teach you how to sail offshore.

Mountain & Marine Ltd.

This page belongs to the store specializing in sailing clothing, located in Cheshire, England.  This page has an online catalogue and ordering specifications.  Possibly an interesting place for the English, although designwise this page is not excellent.  I have no clue about the British prices, so I cannot give you an opinion as to whether it's affordable or not...

UK Laser Association

This website will probably be most useful to the British, but some of the links will be interesting for sailors from anywhere.  Very clear and gentle.

United States of America
Aviation Weather, Weather Site, Inc.

This is an American weather site (from the US, that is). It looks very nicely, and contains up-to-date weather forecasts (if there is such thing at all!). People sailing in the US will probably want to bookmark this site.
